ROSS COUCH

Ross Couch has been a personal trainer for almost 10 years. He started my training career as the fitness specialist for Dicks Sporting Goods. Since that time RossI has held many positions in the fitness industry and had certifications in multiple fitness organizations.

Ross has done everything from an AFAA level 1 trainer to his current role as a NASM CPT. He is currently in school to become a physical therapy assistant, and hopes to become a therapist down the road. His passion for fitness has led him down the path of everything from competitive body building, mixed martial arts, to competitive cheerleading.

“One great thing that I’ve learned through my years of training is that fitness has something to offer everyone.
However it’s not easy and it takes dedication and hard work, but if you’re committed to achieving your goals and pushing yourself to the next level. Then I’d love to be the driving force that gets you there.”

Motto: Fitness is a journey not a destination and the first step is always the hardest!

CASEY KROLL

Growing up in Nashville TN, Casey was involved in many sports including basketball, swimming, softball, soccer, cross country, and triathlons. When I turned 13, I decided to stop all other sports and focus on swimming. She knew at that point, that she wanted to swim for a Division 1college. Casey later earned a scholarship to swim for Clemson University, where she swam for four years and earned her bachelors in Park, Recreation and Tourism Management.

After relocating to Charleston, Casey became licensed in Neuromuscular Massage, and got her personal training certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine. Still wanting to push herself while keeping a competitive edge, she entered her first half ironman, where she placed first in her age group. Casey then got involved with crossfit, and competed in crossfit events in the area.

“My latest accomplishment has been competing in a figure competition, where I placed first. My desire to push myself and find my edge, while keeping it fun, is what drew me to become a trainer. I love seeing people finding their edge and being pushed past what they thought possible. I’m so grateful to be a part of such an awesome team at Chucktown Fitness.”

ANGIE SPINELLI

Angie Spinelli has been a fitness professional for over 10 years, and her passion is people! “Helping them to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle and watching them reach their fitness goals is so rewarding! My motto for my clients is you will only get out of it what you are willing to put into it! Find something you love and commit!”

When she’s not in the gym, Angie is a busy mother of 7 and also has one grandson! “My favorite place to relax is the beach! I’m so excited to be part of the Chucktown Fitness team and work with the best trainers in Charleston!”

GENTRIC ISAACSON

Gentric Isaacson, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, has over 4 years of experience as a personal trainer. He is also NASM certified: Weight Management Solutions, Cardio for Fitness, Balance Training, Core Training, Neuromuscular Stretching, Reactive Training and Resistance Training. “I got in this industry to help people achieve their physical goals through nutrition and exercise.”Gentric offers group training and one-on-one training. He develops progressive safe workouts designed for each individual. His approach to nutrition is to educate people on the benefits of eating the right foods at the right times.

“I realized in my mid twenty’s how unhealthy and out of shape I was and decided to do something about it. I learned how to eat right and make exercise a part of my life. The more I learned, the more passionate I became about exercise and nutrition. I live a vegetarian lifestyle and enjoy surfing.”

CLIVENS ‘CJ’ JOSAPHAT

Clivens ‘CJ’ Josaphat has spent most of his life playing semi-pro soccer for more than 25 years. He has always been highly active in sports and fitness and he brings to his clients an extremely disciplined work ethic and a desire for them to surpass their objectives. His style is one part boot camp, and one part pro-athlete training.

His workout is always interesting, inventive and uplifting so that boredom is not possible, and results are rapid. CJ combines fitness with an individualized nutrition program tailored to each client’s individual needs and body style, to optimize the results of each and every workout. If you are looking for a trainer that will challenge you and will help you to bring out the champion within, CJ is the trainer for you!

JASON IDOL

Jason Idol is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness/Wellness. He was a competitive athlete in high school and still enjoys competing in various sports. His passion is working with athletes with the goal of improving their general athleticism as well as making them fit for their specific sport. Jason also has experience with weight loss and training special populations. He offers one-on-one personal training sessions and is also available for partner and group training.

Jason served in the Marine Corps for four years. During that time he was deployed to Iraq twice and was responsible for keeping his subordinate marines fit for combat. Going through military training and combat situations has given Jason a different perspective on fitness. “Physical fitness kept me performing at a high level in Iraq. Staying in shape for something so important created a drive in me to improve my performance for whatever activity I am doing. My goal for training others is to help them perform their best whether it is for sports, combat, or just their daily lives.”

JIM KUTZLI

Jim is an A.C.E. certified personal trainer, licensed instructor through the Titlelist Performance Institute, and has a bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from Valdosta State University. Over the last five years Jim has worked in a wide variety of settings, from developing exercise programs for children with neurological disorders, to instructing aquatic fitness classes for elderly clients rehabbing injuries.

“Very few people are aware of the level of fitness they are able to achieve. I truly love my job as a personal trainer because of the satisfaction I get seeing people meet and surpass their goals.”

NELSON CARROLL

Nelson Carroll is a certified personal trainer and has been training here in Charleston for two years. He is a 2011 graduate of The Citadel, with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. He has always been involved in team sports and spending time in the gym learning about many types of fitness!

“I have taken this passion for fitness and now enjoy teaching this same passion to all my clients! I enjoy working with all types of people ranging from beginners who have never exercised before, to those just looking to lose weight and be healthier, and even athletes looking for the workouts to get into peak physical condition! No matter who your are, or what you are trying to do in the gym, I promise we will have a great time!”
